Ótima explicação do prof. Alberto. Vale lembrar que os romanos ao levar os cristãos para o martírio no início do cristianismo descumpriam a própria lei que criaram. Exemplo claro é de que não se podia martirizar pela lei romana, mulheres grávidas. Entretanto pelo fato das cristãs grávidas se recusarem a prestar culto aos falsos deuses, todas estas foram para a arena da morte, contrariando a própria lei que o direito romano criara.

Simboliza este número segundo a opinião de diversos padres da Igreja, bem como aceito pela Tradição, a idade da Virgem Maria quando da Anunciação do Anjo. Também simboliza misticamente o repouso e a ressurreição, a Antiga Lei e o Evangelho, tal como se lê nas Cartas aos Gálatas cap.1,18. e cap.2,8 em que Paulo passou QUINZE DIAS com Pedro.
