The private audience with Courage International comes just days after Jesuit Fr. James Martin appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he described Pope Leo XIV’s approach as continuing Pope Francis’ mission of “welcome and inclusion.” While Fr Martin sought to highlight this continuity, Pope Francis himself never met with Courage International.
