Former Italian priest Luca Favarin, 54, has become a father. After 25 years as a priest in the Diocese of Padua, Favarin welcomed his son Zaccaria on September 28. “If necessary, I will have the courage to die for you, because I have seen the most beautiful thing: the birth of a child,” he wrote on facebook. Worse than Germany: Funeral held in Paris Archdiocese for prominent actor who was killed by euthanasia. French actor Arnaud Denis was killed by euthanasia in Belgium on September 22, aged 43. He received a Catholic funeral at Saint-Roch Church in Paris on October 1. Denis had been seriously ill for about three years. His health collapsed after a routine hernia operation in 2023, during which a surgical mesh implant was placed in his body. He suffered severe pain, lost significant weight and developed debilitating health problems that eventually left him disabled. The implant was later removed, but his health did not recover. He requested euthanasia in Belgium and made his plans publicly known in January.
