Brothers and sisters, Jesus teaches us that true righteousness consists in love
and that, within every precept of the Law, we must learn to identify a call to love. Indeed, it is not sufficient to refrain from killing a person physically if one then kills
with words and undermines the dignity of the other (cf. Mt 5:21-22). Similarly, it is not
enough to be technically faithful to one’s spouse and not commit adultery if the relationship lacks mutual tenderness, listening, respect, care for the other and shared goals The Gospel offers us this valuable teaching: minimal righteousness is not enough; great love is needed.

"Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: 12 Be glad and rejoice," -Jesus Christ.
You see it has to be UNTRUELY. See!
God commands us not to murder and not to bear false witness, not to covet, not to steal. He does not command us not to condemn justly nor to correct error -which for the reprobate is received as a deadly ego blow of course. The demons squeal when you apply holy water. There is no problem with the holy water!
The marriage oath consists of a list of obligations, one of which is fidelity. But even if all were disregarded, a valid marriage is still a valid marriage. It is sufficient that it is valid, whether the parties fail in their obligations or not. You can say it's not a well lived marriage but you can't say it is not a marriage.
