Priest Clings to Cathedral Column as Earthquake Strikes: The video captured a priest clinging to a column as an earthquake struck western Colombia on August 10. He was celebrating a Eucharist inside the historic Cathedral Basilica of Manizales when the violent shaking began. The cathedral suffered serious damage, including the collapse of one of its side towers. Historically, priests were taught not to abandon the celebration of Mass even during emergencies.

But what self-respecting Catholic, much less a bishop, can use this for an excuse?
