Such a waste of time and financial resources. Nothing of real substance as regards the crisis of the loss of the substance of the Catholic Faith and the consequential effects on the salvation of souls was even mentioned. Simply, temporal concerns. The Synodal Church is like all other secular associations. Concern is for the affairs of this world only. (LifeSiteNews) — The associate editor of the heterodox Jesuit-run America magazine expressed his revulsion toward the recitation of the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel after Mass in a Wednesday social media post.
Zac Davis, who is also co-host of the “Jesuitical” podcast, wrote on X, “I cannot express how much I dislike the St. Michael Prayer after Mass. It is so, so jarring to me every time.”
“To say nothing of the intent/content of the prayer, the language, and repetition and prominence given to it breed a sense of paranoia and cynicism. Instead of going out to evangelize the world, everyone is ready to go to war with it,” he wrote, replying to a Jesuit praising the recitation of the prayer after Mass.
Against Davis’ last point, John Monaco pointed out that evangelization of the world and going to war with it “aren’t mutually exclusive.”

Homosex Eucharist in New York

On June 25, skinny Paulist Father Chris Lawton celebrated an annual homosex Eucharist at the Stonewall National Monument in Christopher Park, New York City. Around 150 people attended, reports NcrOnline.org.
The Eucharist was organized by the notorious homosexual parish St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan. It took place at the start of 'New York Pride weekend'.
The location was disfigured with dozens of rainbow flags.
Fr Lawton apologized to homosexuals for times when the Church had failed to recognize God's presence in them. He believes that „transgender Catholics” continue to face unique injustice within the Church.
He added that there is a movement toward inclusion of homosexuals underway in the Church: "The train has left the station. And we are going somewhere."
Since February 6, the Archdiocese of New York has been led by Monsignor Ronald Hicks - another of Leo XIV's bad appointments.

Cardinal Müller at Consistory: "We Must Respond to the Lefebvrists"

Cardinal Gerhard Müller spoke at the June 26 consistory about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), IlGiornale.it reports.
He addressed the FSSPX's allegations that the Vatican has deviated from the Church's magisterium. Cardinal Müller proposed preparing a response to the Fraternity that would affirm that Rome has never abandoned the path of Catholicism, contrary to their claims.
He also said that, following Wednesday's episcopal consecrations, many Lefebvrists would seek to enter into full canonical communion with the Church.
The Vatican should prepare to welcome them back by proposing a structure modelled on the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, which was established by Pope John Paul II in 1988.
Cardinal Müller's intervention was received without comment during the session.

"A Madman Can Separate the Gospel from Cultural Husks"

In his May 2026 lecture at the Pontifical Urbaniana University, Cardinal Víctor "Tucho" Fernández said: "Sometimes it takes a madman, desperately in love with his land and his people, capable of separating the Gospel from certain cultural husks that have become attached to it but are not an essential part of its message, and of rereading it in the light of what his people are living today."

The Apostolic faith speaks to the eternal essence of God and the unchanging struggle of humans which is resolved by the timeless sacrifice on Calvary. Tucho claims that what he doesn't like in the Apostolic faith are cultural accretions. He is wrong. Lace, the mitre, and even his red zucchetto are cultural accretions. The seven deadly sins and sins which cry out to Heaven for vengeance are as fundamental to salvation as DNA is to life. This may be painful for Tucho. My heart goes out to him. But salvation comes from taking up your cross and requires sacrifice of your own preferences for the sake of Christ.

Ebola outbreak in DR Congo leaves 65 dead

With 65 deaths reported so far, an Ebola outbreak has been confirmed in Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ituri province, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Friday.
According to preliminary results from the National Institute for Biomedical Research (INRB) in Kinshasa, 13 out of 20 tested samples came back positive for Ebola.
“About 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths have been reported, mainly in the Mongwalu and Rwampara health zones,” the authorities said, adding that four of the fatalities were among laboratory-confirmed patients.
Health officials are also investigating suspected infections in the city of Bunia, although those cases have not yet been confirmed.

Any measures taken against the SSPX and its ministry of the sacraments would be null and void. Not because nobody else has the faith, but because it is the main force in the Church today that embodies every aspect of Catholic doctrine without dissimulation: preventing that is the intention behind potential censures (and confirming latae sententiae penalties), and one that invalidates them.
