Despite severe flooding at St. John the Baptist Parish in Hagonoy, Bulacan, Philippines, Leian Lieza Galang and Gilbert Chico chose to go forward with their Catholic wedding on Sept. 1. With their clothes soaked and fewer than 15 guests present, they stood before the altar and received the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Sorry, the profane music and atmosphere used for the occasion of conferring -- for life -- the sacred Sacrament of Matrimony deserves to be flooded out.

The Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem has become a spitting center for Jewish extremists. Every day there is a hateful incident, and every day there is impunity. "Why did you spit?" "I spat on purpose!" "Why?" "I spat on your stinking monastery!"

Spitting is a grave sin. The jews spat on Christ and when we spit on anyone we are spitting on Christ and doing what the jews did to Our Lord. That's what we were taught in our Catholic Schools. Spitting is not only disgusting, but a grave sin. Nor a minor problem.

V.R.S.

This spitting is a minor problem, considering what is happening. Secondly, it is much more easy to spit having Jerusalem recognized as the Zionist capital, isn't it?

"The Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism has been tapped by the Government of Israel as part of its latest outreach to American Catholics"

EWTN is reporting the so-called “Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism” (CCAA) has been “tapped by the Government of Israel as part of its latest outreach to American Catholics.” A high-ranking Israeli official, Tammy Ben-Haim, met in May with the head of the CCAA Simone Rizkallah in Washington, DC. Rizkallah previously received funding from billionaire, Jewish activist Paul Singer and is currently affiliated with the “Tikvah Fund.” Rizkallah said in the article Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs wanted to “design a trip specifically for Catholic leaders, [so] it made sense that they would reach out to us.”

In fight against antisemitism, Israel steps up U.S. Catholic outreach

JERUSALEM — The Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism (CCAA), a lay-led U.S. organization established in late 2023 that “affirms the right of the Jewish people to live safely and securely in their ancestral homeland” as well as recognizes that “modern Israel is essential to that security,” has emerged as a leading resource in the Government of Israel’s outreach to American Catholics, who constitute the country’s largest single religious constituency. Tammy Ben-Haim, head of religious and interfaith affairs at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told EWTN news that a May meeting in Washington, D.C., with CCAA Director Simone Rizkallah, a first-generation American of Egyptian-Armenian descent, convinced her of the importance of engaging the organization and its supporters. “I was so impressed by Simone and the vision she had for the organization to combat antisemitism,” including CCAA’s network of key influencers throughout the American Catholic world, Ben-Haim said. Continuing his catechetical series on Vatican II, reflecting now on the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, Gaudium et spes, Pope Leo XIV says: “This Document focuses on the Church’s pastoral responsibility to engage with the contemporary world, sharing in its joys and sorrows, and calls for a commitment to conversion, bearing witness to Christ’s work, and advocating for the poor and marginalized. The Church is also to be attentive to the signs of the times, interpreting them in the light of the Gospel, thereby addressing pressing issues such as the technological progress that benefits only some and the persistence of widespread poverty. In our own day, marked by profound change and much injustice, each of us, then, is called to play our part in welcoming and listening to the deepest questions and longings of the human heart, making present to all the merciful love of Christ our Savior.”

The US Department of Justice has concluded that the FBI improperly investigated traditional Catholics as potential extremists, monitored two priests and continued developing a controversial intelligence assessment after the bureau had ordered it withdrawn.

What the New U.S. Report on FBI Surveillance against Catholics Shows

On August 28, the U.S. Justice Department released a 231-page report on the FBI’s 2023 Richmond Catholic memo, including evidence of surveillance of traditionalist Catholic clergy.
The FBI investigated two priests and conducted surveillance connected to them. One belonged to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX); the other, his uncle, was associated with SSPX Resistance and had been ordained by Bishop Richard Williamson.
Agents researched travel and credit-card records. FBI personnel in Boston surveilled the second priest at the airport, while Customs and Border Protection questioned him and searched his phone.
Both investigations were subsequently closed after the FBI found no identified national-security threat and no alleged violation of federal law.
Among the exhibits in the DOJ report is an FBI PowerPoint titled “Traditionalist Catholicism Overview” - essentially a rudimentary guide to the various traditionalist Catholic groups and sects.
Remarkably, the presentation included …More

10 or more underground bishops secretly consecrated since Vatican-China deal

Chinese Underground Church Consecrated 10 Bishops without Papal Mandate

After the 2018 Sino-Vatican agreement “terrible things happen to Catholics” in the Fujian province, an anonymous Chinese bishop who is unaffiliated with the Chinese state church ‘Patriotic Association’, told Anthony Clark for CatholicWorldReport.com on August 23.
The bishop speaks of a “state of emergency”.
As government influence over the bishops increases, “the integrity of the Catholic faith will suffer.” To “assure the survival of China’s Church,” new bishops have been “secretly consecrated.”
The bishop says the faithful question Rome’s genuine concern for their “spiritual well-being” when the Holy See approves government-selected bishops whom they regard as too reliable to the state.
The number is unknown, but he suggested that “at least ten new bishops” were consecrated for the underground community in the Fujian province.

Two pastors fined W1m each for disrupting flight with loud preaching - The Korea Herald

This unrelated file photo shows the interior of an airplane. (Getty Images Bank) Two pastors were fined 1 million won ($723) each for disrupting a domestic flight by loudly preaching to passengers and refusing repeated requests from cabin crew to stop, local media reported Monday. The pastors, 64 and 68, were convicted of violating the Aviation Security Act over an incident aboard a flight from Jeju to Gimpo that departed at around 3:40 p.m. on March 12, according to the Seoul Southern District Court's Aug. 18 ruling. The court said the 64-year-old pastor stood in the aisle despite repeated attempts by crew members to stop him and shouted at passengers, “You will go to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus.” The other pastor joined in, shouting, "Hallelujah, you will go to hell" while walking up and down the aisle. When a crew member approached to issue a warning, the pastors reportedly shouted back, "Don't try to lecture me." The two ignored repeated complaints and objections from crew …

Wer Jesu Christi Worte, z.
