Leo XIV: "Church’s Mission to Uphold Human Dignity and Foster Fraternity"

Today, Pope Leo XIV visited the 'UN World Food Programme' headquarters in Rome. He endorsed a stronger international order and praised the work of the 'United Nations', including even within Catholic organizations. Key statements.
- "Your institution’s commitment resonates profoundly with the Catholic Church’s mission to uphold human dignity and to foster fraternity."
- "The Catholic Church is oftentimes a partner in collaboration with the programmes that you oversee and that you work in."
- "A renewed commitment to multilateral cooperation is essential."
- "In an increasingly fragmented and multipolar world, no single State can address global challenges alone."

Sinking Titanic Back at the Vatican: "We are human beings, not techno-robots," Leo XIV told the children of the Vatican summer camp today, encouraging them to limit screen time, pray, cultivate real friendships, and avoid becoming dependent on technology. The scene featured the Pope addressing hundreds of children beneath a giant inflatable sinking Titanic. The plastic 'bouncy castle' in the shape of the Titanic has been in use for several years.

Vatican Case Against SilereNonPossum Closed: The case against SilereNonPossum.com has reportedly ended, with the Vatican courts ruling they lacked jurisdiction. The complaint was filed by politician and businessman Angelo Chiorazzo over a 2023 Facebook post that described him as having “more criminal proceedings than hairs on his head.” The Vatican courts dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds, without ruling on the defamation claim itself.

Leo XIV Appoints Synodal Bishop: "Open to Novelty and Change"

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry.
He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality".
Strong Synodal Profile
By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process.
In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc.
His Language Speaks Volumes
In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …އިތުރު

He needs to affirm the Creeds, Councils and Cathechisms in the original. He does not do this. This is a canonical issue. With Vatican Council II rational we can affirm the Council and Tradition. But the bishop, with Vatican Council II irrational cannot affirm both. A bishop who cannot affirm de fide teachings in Tradition which are not contradicted by Vatican Council II, cannot hold his office.
It is obligatory, morally and canonically for the bishop to affirm Vatican Council I
I only rationally ( LG 16 inviible.)

Father Karl A Claver

Novelty and change have nothing to do with GROWTH. One grows in virtue, while novelty and change can refer to compromising the Catholic faith.

One message for Muslims, another for Catholics: While Pope Leo XIV described the Great Mosque of Algiers in April as "a divine, sacred space" where "God is present", Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, told AdVaticanum.com on June 22 that "Catholics should understand papal gestures in non-Christian spaces as symbolic acts of encounter and dialogue" and "not as approval of all religious beliefs equally."

After Leo XIV told moslems that mosques are "sacred space", Cardinal Koovad says that "Catholics should understand papal gestures in non-Christian spaces (Mosques) as symbolic acts of encounter and dialogue, not as a denial of the uniqueness of Christ or as approval of all religious beliefs equally."

Cardinal Koovakad on dialogue with Patriarch Kirill and Pope Leo’s visit to a mosque | Advaticanum

Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad is the Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, the Vatican department responsible for promoting understanding, cooperation and engagement between the Catholic Church and followers of other religious traditions.
After joining the Holy See’s diplomatic service in 2006, following studies at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy, he held posts in Algeria, South Korea, Iran, Costa Rica and Venezuela. His experience later led to his being entrusted with the organisation of papal trips, including high-risk journeys such as Pope Francis’s 2021 visit to Iraq, earning him the reputation of being the Francis pontificate’s “travel agent” as he arranged the complex itinerary of one of the most travelled popes in history.
Created a cardinal in 2024 and appointed Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue in 2025, his career has marked a series of firsts. He is the first member of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church to head a curial department. He …

Real Importance and Media Exposure

– Folha de S. Paulo, January 29, 1969 –
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
I cannot simply continue with my previous explanation to satisfy the public’s interest or desire for information on the TFP.
I would be forced to discuss facts the average reader is unfamiliar with. Therefore, I must start by outlining the scope of the topics and events I will address.
To do this, it is best to demonstrate that these topics and events are central to the major issues facing Brazilians who genuinely love their country.
________________ * * * ________________
It’s common to say that a country’s main institutions are its driving forces. Brazil’s key forces include the Church, the Armed Forces, professional associations, and universities. With some goodwill, we might also add political parties.
The press often covers these institutions, but it does not always give them the prominence they deserve.
Main news usually focuses on politics — the conflicts between parties and the actions of official bodies …އިތުރު

German Diocese Reduces to Just NINE Parishes

The Diocese of Speyer in southwestern Germany plans to reduce its current 70 parishes to just 9 large parish units. Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann described the move as a “major turning point” that will require "courage" from all involved.
By October 31, the diocesan administration will present a plan for implementing the changes.
The new parishes will be led by a three-person team consisting of a pastor, a lay pastoral minister, and an administrative director.
Before a major reform in 2016, the diocese consisted of 346 parishes. These were merged into 70 larger parishes as part of the pastoral "reform" program.

Leo XIV's Developments: People’s Realities Define Doctrine - US Cardinal

The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington 🌈 Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University.
He pointed to "two developments during the pontificate of Leo XIV".
The first was a remark Leo XIV made during his trip to Africa in April, when he said that “the unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.”
Cardinal McElroy commented: “Too often both in magisterial statements and on the popular level, sexual sins have been condemned with an ardor that effectively places them in the eyes of many believers as the core moral obligation of Christians.”
Leo XIV instead pointed “to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life.”
The second development cited by McElroy was the publication of the report of synod's Study Group 9 in May and …އިތުރު

We Would Rather Not Ask

Running Gloria.tv is not an easy task. Neither is reading it, contributing to it, discussing on it, accepting other users, or donating to keep it alive.
Yet together we have built the only Catholic social media platform. It serves the Faith. It serves its users. And increasingly, it serves freedom.
Gloria.tv is financed entirely by donations. Almost all of them are small; many are very small. They are given for God's sake. There are no tax deductions. There are no foundations. There are no wealthy sponsors with agendas.
There is only the support of ordinary people, many of them retired, who believe that Gloria.tv should exist.
Every summer brings the same challenge. Donations decline sharply, while the costs of operating Gloria.tv remain the same. That is why your donation is greatly appreciated - or rather, needed.
If you can help, please donate.
