He spent 54 years in the Novus Ordo before discovering the Latin Mass, which “gives you space to sink into prayer and to contemplate and to meditate.” He also contrasted the two forms of the Mass: In the Latin Mass, “the sacrifice is very strongly visible.” But “in today’s Mass it is present but not as much in the forefront as in the Latin Mass.”
