The University of Notre Dame's McGrath Institute for Church Life has published on July 17 a report containing twelve proposals for assessing candidates for the priesthood. Entitled, "Do You Know Them to Be Worthy?", the file was written by Father Thomas V. Berg and psychologist Timothy G. Lock. The report draws on research commissioned from the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) and a consultation held at Notre Dame in September 2025. The proposals concern psychological assessment, candidates with particular psychological or developmental conditions, and formation for chastity and celibacy. It addresses candidates with conditions including ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder and autism spectrum disorder. On homosexual attraction, the Notre Dame authors note that a pause in formation may "more often than not" lead to a decision not to advance a candidate toward ordination. The authors think the pause is needed to assess four things: - how the man understands his identity; …Bontsi
Liturgical Abuse: Let Catholicism Look Catholic There’s a post circulating online about a recently ordained Catholic priest in the Philippines, and honestly, the criticism being directed at him raises a much bigger question than the vestments themselves. The priest was photographed wearing what many Catholics would recognize as traditional Roman vesture: a fiddleback Roman chasuble, a beautifully decorated laced alb, a maniple, and a biretta. And apparently, this was enough for someone to become seriously concerned. Not because the priest was changing the words of the Mass. Not because he was inventing his own Eucharistic Prayer. Not because he was adding random songs, clapping, dancing, theatrics, or turning the sanctuary into a stage. No. The concern was that he was wearing traditional vestments. And somehow this became a discussion about liturgical abuse. Really? We need to stop for a second and ask ourselves what exactly we mean when we use the term “liturgical abuse.” Because if …Bontsi
“What eroded the moral authority of the Church was the warm romance and embrace of secular power,” Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, 73, of Sokoto, Nigeria, told CatholicWorldReport.com on August 10: “The Church embraced the world and became like the world it was supposed to change.” The bishop added that Africa has “no immunity from this virus”: “The only immunity is to learn from the history of others.” Later in the interview, Bishop Kukah recalled the death of an 18-year-old seminarian who was kidnapped along with three companions. After negotiations and the payment of a ransom, the other three were freed, while he was murdered: “As God would have it, the kidnappers were caught one year later, and they confessed that they killed him because, despite their guns and knowing they were Muslims, he insisted that they must repent of their crimes and return to God!” The prelate has since named the Bishop’s House after the seminarian, while a shrine in his honor stands at the seminary in Kaduna. …Bontsi
From the diocese that brought you "Mary's Assumption is fake" and co-ed Altar dancing, comes: Cosplaying nuns pretending to offer Mass and consecrate the Eucharist. And the worst part? Absolutely nothing will be done. Only traditional Catholics are punished in the Synodal Church.

Cardinal Burke on “Unworthy” Popes: Catholics can legitimately object to a pope’s words or actions, Cardinal Raymond Burke said in an August 18 video by the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, noting that sometimes the pope simply “speaks as a man.” He added that earlier popes spoke more cautiously to avoid confusing personal opinions with authoritative teaching. And: “Even if there were popes who did not fulfill their ministry in a worthy way, the office of the Vicar of Christ on earth stands and will always stand in the Catholic Church.” Burke also appears to make a small slip of the tongue, referring to the pope as the “successor of Christ” rather than the successor of St. Peter.
Cardinal Burke refers to the Pope as the “successor of Christ” — a slip of the tongue.
Prevost was installed through an agreement with Bergoglio, who made him a bishop and then a fake anti-cardinal, since Bergoglio was installed by the freemasons and didn't have the power to consecrate cardinals. A true Catholic disobeys and denounces the heresies and blasphemies of the usurper Prevost, who pretends to be 'Pope' to spread his leftist politics, homosexuality, and synodal syncretism. All for the eternal damnation of souls.
Why the Church stopped teaching wives must obey: Tim Gordon’s nuclear take Catholic author and podcaster Timothy Gordon joins John-Henry Westen for a wide-ranging conversation on feminism, traditional Catholic marriage, and the crisis of authority in the Church. Gordon draws from the Roman Catechism to argue that modern Catholics have become uncomfortable with traditional teachings on male headship and wifely obedience. He discusses his documentary What a Woman Is, the “Diaper Gate” controversy, and the backlash his positions have received, including from women who support his arguments. They then turn to the death penalty, where Gordon challenges recent Catholic teaching restricting capital punishment. He traces the decisive break to changes under Pope John Paul II, arguing that the traditional justification rests on retributive justice, not merely preventing future crimes. They also talk about Pope Leo XIV, the “seamless garment” approach to pro-life issues, Amoris Laetitia, and the …Bontsi
Slovak pro-LGBT Catholic priest Adam Štefanec, 29, of the Diocese of Žilina said in an August 12 video that he does not like the word “God.” Rev. Štefanec believes that the term had accumulated so many associations that it no longer speaks to people today. “I try to find words that are universal,” he said, naming “humanity” as a universal value. Asked what Christ wants from people, Rev. Štefanec said the answer is “different for everyone,” different in every age, and “constantly changing.” Previously, Rev. Štefanec has supported homosex civil partnerships and said that homosexuality is not a sin.

Today, Leo XIV published a message for the 2026 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. He adopts the ecological vocabulary closely associated with Francis’ pontificate. Citing Laudato Si’, he speaks of an “authentic ecological conversion” and in metaphors such as “the ecosystems of the human heart.” The message also contains a naïve statement on warfare. “The true tools for building peace are not weapons of destruction,” Leo writes, listing instead “truth, dialogue, patience, goodness, justice, mercy, understanding, care and love.” Leo XIV enfolds an earthly program of disarmament, poverty reduction and ecological improvement: “Let us imagine a world in which the energies currently invested in war are directed toward integral human development, to overcoming poverty, protecting human dignity and reconciling divided peoples. Such a vision reflects faith in the coming of God’s Kingdom.” #newsUadwzxlixo
The mosaics by Marko Rupnik at the Sanctuary of Lourdes will be fully covered in the coming weeks and will remain hidden permanently after Pope Leo XIV’s visit, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes told French newspaper LaDepeche.fr on August 20. Only some of the mosaics, including those on the basilica’s doors, were covered in March 2025. The sanctuary had previously stopped illuminating Rupnik’s works during its nightly processions in 2024. Rupnik is a Slovenian priest and artist promoted by the Vatican for decades. He has been accused by around two dozen women of sexual, spiritual and psychological abuse. An ongoing canonical case concerning the allegations is being drawn out in the Vatican. Bishop Micas has previously said that the continued public display of Rupnik’s work at Lourdes can cause particular pain to victims of abuse who visit the sanctuary. #newsSevwzxkaei
The bishop who oversees the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France has said the popular Catholic pilgrimage site will cover all of its mosaics by disgraced priest Father Marko Rupnik ahead of Pope Leo XIV’s visit next month.

Bishop Terry R. LaValley of Ogdensburg, New York State, has issued a pastoral letter declaring that the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) is . following the unauthorized ordination of four bishops - in "formal schism" with the Church. In a letter dated July 1, Bishop LaValley instructed Catholics in the Diocese of Ogdensburg not to participate in FSSPX liturgies or receive sacraments from FSSPX clergy. He directed Catholics to avoid activities at St. Therese Chapel in Nicholville, New York, as well as any schools operated by the FSSPX. Instead, Catholics seeking the Mass in the Roman rite should attend liturgies celebrated in "full communion" with the Church at St. Mary's Church in Potsdam or St. Mary's Church in Evans Mills. The letter also extends an invitation to FSSPX priests who may not wish to participate in what the bishop described as a break with the See of Peter, stating that the Diocese would assist those seeking to remain within the Catholic Church. #newsVhnkjwpivc …Bontsi

Leo XIV’s Appointee Honored as “Masonic Brother” in 2022: On August 13, Leo XIV appointed Rome Professor Umberto Longo to the Vatican’s Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences. In December 2022, Longo gave a lecture in Venice on the Italian Freemason and comic artist Hugo Pratt (1927–1995). At the end, Gian-Paolo Barbi, Sovereign Grand Commander of the masonic lodge 'Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite', took the floor. He tapped Longo on the shoulder and addressed him as 'il fratello professor Longo' - 'Brother Professor Longo'. The phrase is noteworthy because older Masonic publications from 2013 and 2014 also identify an “Umberto Longo” as a Masonic “Brother” and Scottish Rite officer.
One more mason for the large number of masons in the Vatican. Prevost gives them high positions, to them and to the sodomites. It's more than obvious who Prevost serves.
As Pentin wrote, Francis’s hostile occupation of the papacy was like torture for many serious Catholics. Unfortunately, this torture has continued with Leo XIV, even if the man in white looks somewhat more pious when operating the “waterboard.”
